Compassion and justice blended call us to simplicity of life.

 Richard  FOSTER

Life in U.S. society gets complex and busy. The speed at which it moves with its technology and media is so rapid compared to ever before. There is an underlying anxiety in it, and it often feels like a river rapid – once you step foot in it, it is easy to feel sucked in.

The invitation from Jesus is to experience the “easy yoke.” It is for the one(s) who would follow after Him, and as a husband, father, musician, pastor, and spiritual director, it is my longing to experience this unforced rhythm of grace – Jesus’ way of life and ministry – in the midst of a society that defines success so contrary to the Kingdom of God. This space is about seeking to cultivate in my life the things that Jesus modeled in His. It’s about living in His kingdom. It’s about surrender. It’s about trust in Him and His way.
